The Hollywood Reporter

Strategic Services

This esteemed publication asked us to help them build a consumer story without diminishing their long-recognized professional value proposition.

The Hollywood Reporter

Star Wars

(Lucasfilm)
Integrated Marketing

Lucas wanted to create a new and modernized digital foundation for their brand in preparation for Star Wars Episode VII, VIII, and IX. We laid out an updated socially informed online strategy, redesigned their web site in an efficient and cost-effective way, and tailored their social profiles for the film’s pre-production phase.

Los Angeles Times

Strategic Services

The LA Times asked us to investigate digital business and revenue expansion. Our results focused on ad inventory, the ads sales story, and opportunities in social media and mobile development. “The Stradella Road team have been great partners, delivering strategic initiatives resulting in revenue expansion and improved content and user experience for our audience,” said Andy Vogel, SVP Digital/Mobile at Tribune Company.

Oldboy

(Film District)
Social Media Campaign

We revel in projects with a passionate fanbase, so when we heard Spike Lee was remaking this Korean cult classic we wanted in. Our campaign must satisfy the existing fans and their strong point of view about the story and its style and characters, while also winning over a new audience for the film.

UltraViolet

(The DEG)
Social Media Campaign

The DEG (Digital Entertainment Group), a non-profit consortium of major film studios, advocates for and promotes the consumer benefits of a variety of home entertainment products. We manage customer relations and social media profiles on their behalf for UltraViolet, a movie authentication and cloud-based stored format.

Titanic 3D Blu-ray

(Fox Home Entertainment)
Social Media Campaign

How do you turn a home entertainment release into a major global event 20 years after its theatrical debut? Our campaign eventized social tactics into PR wins with retail partners collaborating in a global social treasure hunt. Social participation by the global audience was galvanized into a fan mosaic, unveiled by James Cameron at an installation in the Titanic Museum in Belfast.

Les Miserables

(Universal Studios)
Social Media Campaign

We took up the challenge of rallying a beloved musical’s adoring worldwide fanbase around a new film, and using their excitement as a lightening rod to bring in new fans. We got huge pickup from the assets we created onset, like Hugh Jackman’s Mother’s Day video greeting. And campaigns like “24601″ on Twitter which reached that number of fans – Jean Valjean’s prison number – in less than five hours.

Les Miserables

Django Unchained

(The Weinstein Company)
Social Media Campaign

We’ve got a real knack for auteur-driven properties. We kicked off our campaign at Comic-Con 2012, where 1600 influencers entered our four-day Bounty Hunt. We asked Quentin Tarantino for full access to run his social pages, a key tactic in amplifying our organic messaging. With little access to film assets until close to release, we created a fully customized social campaign that built a fanbase for Django over an entire year.

Django Unchained

Anchor Bay Entertainment

Social Media Campaign

We’re social media AOR for this leading independent film and home entertainment distributor. In the first 2 months of our engagement, we increased their Facebook fanbase by 50%. Anchor Bay has a deep catalog that offers something for everyone, so we’re tailoring custom channels on the platforms that best reach a genre’s audience.

The Muppets Movie

Strategic Services

Disney’s 2011 film The Muppets was the first Muppets theatrical release in 12 years. We created the “Bazillion Fan-a-Thon” for Disney, bringing the film’s theme to save the Muppets theater to the real world. Mashable called our concept “one of the most socially savvy we have seen from any studio for a major release window.”

The Muppets Movie

Fast & Furious

(Universal Pictures)
Social Media Campaign

Our partners trust us with their talent. We worked closely with the teams for Vin Diesel and the cast to engage them at every level of our social marketing campaign for Fast & Furious 6. The results were impressive, like the 60,000 Instagram submissions we received for our #myride campaign.

Much Ado About Nothing

(Roadside Attractions)
Social Media Campaign

Writer/Director Joss Whedon was fun to work with. We ushered him onto Twitter for his Shakespeare adaptation… where we promptly saw a 500K fan following, turning Joss into a legitimate Twitter celebrity. We sent him and the cast on a bus tour to the film’s SXSW premier with a plan to engage fans on the newly-minted Vine, and they pumped out a 24-hour stream of videos.

Adobe tapped our deep theatrical marketing expertise for industry and studio insights to aid their sales teams in aligning Adobe products and services with movie marketing needs.

Fifty Shades of Grey

(Focus Features)
Integrated Marketing

This is a classic example of one of our specialties: integrated social-by-design movie marketing. Focus engaged us nearly two years before film release to define the audience for the adaptation of this pop culture phenomenon and uncover insights into filmgoer personas to aid marketing. Before we began our social campaign for the film, we laid out a yearlong integrated online and offline strategy.
